About
Rowan Hale
Twelve years walking the north-west with a tripod, a flask and a weather app.
I photograph the Highlands as they are: wet, grey, wide and occasionally astonishing.
Most of my work is made within a day’s walk of a road, in the weather everyone else stays home from. I shoot landscapes, wildlife and night skies, and I return to the same places for years.
I take commissions from magazines, conservation groups and tourism boards, and I sell a small number of prints each year.
